Laser Therapy

As a means of pain management for your pet, we offer laser therapy, which can also reduce inflammation, promote tissue regeneration, and contribute to wound healing. How does laser therapy achieve these results? Light energy passes through the damaged cells in the body to stimulate inter-cellular activity. The process is painless with no negative side effects, and each session takes only a few minutes. Laser therapy can be used to treat a range of health conditions, including:

  • Arthritis

  • Inflamed ears

  • Abscesses

  • Feline cystitis

  • Sprains

  • Hot spots

  • Disc disease

  • Post-surgical healing

Allergy Testing

Just like people, pets can develop allergies if their immune systems are too sensitive to something in their environment. In turn, their bodies react to that allergen in an abnormal way. These allergens can be grouped into several categories.

  • Environmental allergens
  • Food allergens.
  • Contact allergens

Allergy testing is a crucial step in identifying the exact cause of your pet's symptoms, such as itching, redness, or recurrent ear infections. We conduct serum (blood) testing to diagnose environmental and seasonal allergens. The combination of these tests gives us a clearer picture of your pet's specific sensitivities, allowing us to create a custom treatment plan

Unfortunately, there is no cure for pet allergies, however, there are effective ways to manage them. We'll discuss the best allergy medications and treatments for your dog or cat, which may include:

  • Dog and cat allergy medicine, such as antihistamines or steroids
  • Allergy shots
  • Prescribing your pet a special food or diet
  • Preventing exposure to allergens

Radiology

Digital technology has led to the speed, accuracy, safety, and easy storage of veterinary imaging. This non-invasive tool provides fast and accurate information on your pet's injury without giving them anesthesia.

The advanced technology of veterinary digital radiology has improved diagnostics while delivering benefits to pet comfort. From digital dental x-rays to monitoring geriatric bone care, you can know exact details about your pet's health without putting them through stressful high-intensity imaging

Our clinic can perform radiographs on any part of any dog or cat. Radiographs help us determine if a pet has a broken bone, hip dysplasia, arthritis, cancer, bladder stones, and many other conditions.

Pain Management

We want to alleviate as much pain and discomfort in our patients as possible. In an effort to bring you the highest quality care, we are dedicated to providing top notch pain management.

Pets often share traits in common with their humans, like a love of popcorn or an achy hip. Research has shown that animals also share the way they experience pain. Therefore, you may recognize some medications, techniques, and care for animal pain that your own doctor similarly prescribed for you.

Common medications we prescribe for pets include analgesics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), anti-anxiety medications, and topical anesthetics. However, it is very important to note that you should never give your pet medication designed for a human unless first consulting with us.

Some common signs of pain in your pet may include:

  • Limping
  • Loss of appetite
  • Nausea and/or vomiting
  • Vocalization
  • Change in temperament or behavior
  • Licking a specific area
  • Change in bathroom habits
  • Pantig
  • Hiding

Ultrasound

An ultrasound, or sonogram, uses sound waves from a probe that are converted into an image. These images are displayed on the monitor , giving the veterinarian a 2-dimensional "picture" of your pet's organs. Ultrasound allows the veterinarian to visualize and examine many body organs and systems, including the heart, liver, gall bladder, spleen, kidney, pancreas and bladder.

Many times, both digital radiographs (X-rays) and ultrasound of your pet are recommended for best evaluation of your pet's problem. Digital X-rays show the size, shape and position of the organs and the ultrasound allows your veterinarian to see the internal structure of the organs. Ultrasound is very non-invasive and well tolerated by most pets.

Its usefulness for pregnancy diagnosis, evaluation of the internal organs, and assessment of heart function, make it an invaluable, non-invasive diagnostic tool to help protect to your pet's well-being.

On-Site Lab Services

Bloodwork can identify problems your pet may be experiencing so that proper treatment can begin before a condition worsens.

Unfortunately, pets can't tell us where it hurts, and oftentimes, a healthy appearing animal may be masking symptoms of disease or illness. We recommend veterinary diagnostic testing to identify any problems and to begin treatment as early as possible.

Having on site laboratory services allow us to provide point of care which provides quicker treatment of your pet
